City Council approves decreasing property taxes and updating cemetery
Burleson City Council approved decreasing Burleson’s property tax rate to $.6235 in fiscal-year 2023-24 from $.6572 Monday at City Hall.
Council also approved updates to the Burleson Memorial Cemetery, including recommendations to solve its irrigation problems, changing rules and regulations of cemeteries, fees for the cemetery expansion and revisions to Burleson’s cemetery-operations contract with Lucas and Blessing.
Burleson ISD wins art award
Burleson ISD announced it received the 2023 Texas Art Education Association District of Distinction Award Tuesday.
The award indicates Burleson ISD’s visual art program is in the top 5.5% of Visual Art programs in Texas.
This is Burleson ISD’s second year to win the award.
BACC holds networking event at Belle Manor
The Burleson Area Chamber of Commers held its monthly “Network@Night” event Tuesday at The Belle Manor.
The Belle Manor’s attention to detail and excellent service made the event a success, the BACC stated in a Facebook post.
