Burleson elects McClendon, Johnson and Boedeker to city council
Boedeker beats Crisp, Johnson beats McAnally, McClendon wins unopposed race
BURLESON – Burleson voters reelected Mayor Pro Tem Dan McClendon and council member Victoria Johnson and elected Alexa Boedeker to the Burleson City Council Saturday.
In the closest race, Boedeker, a realtor with government and business experience in Burleson, beat Brandon Crisp, a software engineer with a master’s degree in political administration, by a count of 689 votes to 552 to take Place Three on the council.
Johnson, winning reelection for her second term on Place One of the council, beat Veteran and Burleson Police Department volunteer Steve McAnally with 961 votes to McAnally’s 322.
