Burleson (8-6) lost 42-41 to the tournament-winning Palmer Bulldogs (6-0) Saturday at Venus High School after beating the Polytechnic Parrots (2-3) 56-49 and the Maypearl Panthers (3-4) 60-57 Thursday and the Coronado Mustangs (8-2) 63-62 Friday.
Senior guard Tamaje Izuagbe and sophomore forward Trey Hall were selected to the all-tournament team.
This was the second time Izguabe’s been selected to an all-tournament team in the 2023-24 season. He won Keene Tournament MVP in November.
Burleson is in third place in district before playing its first district game against the Mansfield Summit Jaguars (7-6) Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Mansfield Summit High School.
