CLEBURNE, Texas – The Cleburne Railroaders introduced Railroaders Baseball Partners LLC as its new owners in a press conference Wednesday at the La Moderna Field Classic Club.
The group was announced as Cleburne’s new majority ownership partner June 15. The new ownership includes a partnership with REV Entertainment, the official events partner of the Texas Rangers, who will serve as the managing partner for the Railroaders and oversee all marketing, sales and strategy.
Nothing major with baseball operations will change this season, but the new owners will reevaluate after the season, said Railroaders Baseball LLC investor and REV Entertainment senior advisor Tom Vander Veen.
“The main focus is to improve fan experience, and this is something we could start to see next season,” Vander Veen said. Vander Veen added that Railroaders Baseball LLC plans to utilize La Moderna Field for more community events.
Vander Veen has been a Cleburne minority owner since 2021. He’s also part owner of the Dallas Jackals, a Major League Rugby team that plays at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington.
“If we do our job, REV will throw a great party during baseball games,” said REV Entertainment president Sean Decker. REV Entertainment’s role will focus more on the in-game experience and less on baseball operations, Decker said.
The new ownership move will not affect any current ticket holders or partners.
The press-conference panel included Vander Veen, Decker, American Association of Professional Baseball commissioner Joshua Schaub, Cleburne manager Logan Watkins and Cleburne play-by-play announcer Brad Allred.
“The future is bright here in Cleburne,” Allred said.
