Thank you, Tech Simple TX: Neighborhood Tech Support for sponsoring The Burleson Buzz. Enjoy this sponsored article about the business.
Shawn Nottage just wants everyone to have a “tech guy.”
“You’ve got a lawn guy, you’ve got a plumber, but you don’t have a tech guy,” he says. “You have more tech at your house than anybody’s ever had in the history of the world, and you have nobody looking after it.”
Shawn runs Tech Simple TX: Neighborhood Tech Support and is dedicated to supporting Burleson small-business owners and at-home workers with affordable, personalized and reliable services and offers Burleson residents 25% off and seniors 50% off all services.
Shawn started Tech Simple TX in July to provide his Burleson neighbors with tech support for everything from routine equipment-maintenance to dealing with artificial intelligence.
His goal is to be the go-to I.T.-support provider for Burleson small businesses.
Janet Prater, Burleson retired accountant, trusts Tech Simple TX to protect her from malware and hackers.
“I am older and sometimes the scammers get out there,” Janet said.
Janet isn’t looking for a big corporation for I.T. support. She chooses Tech Simple TX because it’s local. She said she likes to be able to call or text Shawn and expect a quick response.
“I don’t want every big business to be in Burleson,” she said. The personal touch Tech Simple TX provides Janet is exactly what Shawn set out to do when he started the business.
Shawn was inspired to start Tech Simple TX after a bad experience with an I.T.-support retailer where he didn’t feel protected and didn’t trust that he made the right purchase because it seemed they were too busy to really get to know what he needed.
Shawn knew he could run an I.T.-support business because of his passion for technology. He says he’s been fascinated by technology since he was the first one in his family to use the internet when it was created.
Shawn enjoys working with technology so much that he plans to run Tech Simple TX through his retirement. “I’d like to be the sharpest 90-year-old in the world when it comes to tech security,” he says.
The latest tech Shawn is fascinated by is artificial intelligence, and he wants small businesses to be prepared to deal with it.
“A.I. is going so rapidly that an entry-level to mid-level I.T.-support guy is going to get blown out of the water unless he has the resources of a multi-billion dollar company,” Shawn said.
Shawn wants to support his Burleson neighbors working from home as well. He wants to fill the vacuum the covid pandemic created that made people work from home away from the office with their I.T.-support department.
“If a neighbor needs me, I’m going to be there,” Shawn says.
Shawn is so passionate about helping his neighbors because he believes it’s important to be involved in the community. Burleson is where he plans to spend the rest of his life, and he wants to help make his community great.
“I just want to see the right thing being done around town, and some of that is going to be me I hope through my business,” he said.
