Hi readers,
I’m excited to announce 300 people have subscribed to The Burleson Buzz.
I’ve consistently been encouraged by Burleson’s interest in its community since starting this newsletter in May, and I feel blessed to be part of that community and deliver news to such an interested audience.
Further evidence of how engaged this community is in its local news is 14 people purchasing premium subscription plans, articles in the newsletter having a 55% open rate (33 points above industry standard) and 800 people following the newsletter on Facebook.
Knowing how important being informed is to Burleson, I want to do as much as I can to deliver news and useful information to the community.
Working a full-time job and taking care of a toddler with my wife limits the time I have to spend covering news though. Which is why I’m so appreciative of all the people who’ve helped me.
My wife, Alissa O’Brien is contributing to the newsletter by sharing one of her delicious recipes with readers every month, my dad, William O’Brien wrote a recap of last week’s Elks football game and has helped me cover games all season, Ashton Nicks of Peak One Sports Network has written multiple articles for the newsletter, Municipal Matters of BTX admin Sarah Carlson has recapped a council meeting for the newsletter and lets me share the newsletter on Municipal Matters, my uncle-in-law and Burleson Residents Talking admin Gary Cochran lets me share the newsletter on BRT and has shared news tips with me, Mr. Allard’s Neighborhood host Brad Allard has shared the newsletter with his audience and has shared news tips with me, and many more people, especially my mom and siblings, have supported the newsletter in different ways.
Thank you to all of you.
