🏀“Microwave” Victor James scored 19 in the Spartans’ blowout district-opener victory. Centennial outscored Cleburne 35-15 in the second half to secure the win.

📣(Parents) Take the night off, courtesy of Burleson High School cheerleaders. BHS Cheerleaders are hosting a parents night out Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at BHS for parents to drop off potty-trained kids for a movie night with pizza, juice, popcorn, a holiday craft and board games.
🎄(Teens) Make Christmas Crackers. The Burleson Public Library is hosting a “Teen Christmas Crackers” event Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon at the library to help teens create “Christmas Crackers,” table decorations that snap to reveal prizes.
🎁Wrap gifts at the library. The Burleson Public Library is hosting a gift-wrapping party Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the library with wrapping supplies and refreshments.
🎳🎅Bowl with Santa. Alley Cats Burleson is hosting a “Bowling with Santa” event Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Alley Cats with holiday festivities.

BURLESON — B.J. Evans scored 24 points as the Burleson Elks beat the Everman Bulldogs 52-44 Tuesday at Burleson High School in each team’s district-opener.
🏀“Microwave” James scores 19 to lead Centennial to district-opener win
BURLESON — Victor James scored 19 points as the Centennial Spartans beat the Cleburne Yellow Jackets 62-36 Tuesday at Centennial High School in both school’s district-opener.
