Maybe some of the runner ups in the past election should throw their hats in the running for the new vacated position. Seems like an easy transition to me.
He hasn’t told me who he’d like to appoint, but he did say he’d prefer not to appoint someone. He doesn’t want to be the one person appointing someone. The council as a whole can appoint someone.

He doesn’t have the power to make that decision by himself. Will take the majority of the 6 remaining council members
