Centennial goes 4-1 at tournament
The Centennial Spartans varsity basketball team (7-1 overall) went 4-1 in the Southwest ISD Invitational Tournament last week in San Antonio.

Centennial went 2-0 day-one of the tournament Thursday—beating the Tivy Antlers (8-6) 59-35 and beating the Alief Elsik Rams (2-6) 72-58.

The Jordan Warriors (7-1) beat Centennial 63-45 Friday for Centennial’s first loss of the tournament—and of the season.
Centennial bounced back later Friday and beat the McAllen Bulldogs (8-4) 59-51.
Centennial finished the tournament with an 84-65 win over the Weslaco East Wildcats (4-1) Saturday.
Centennial returns to action at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest tournament Friday and Saturday at Duncanville High School.
