City Council Notes: March 18 meeting
The Burleson City Council approved an agreement between Burleson and Burleson Wilshire Investment Partners LLC to develop a Sprouts and retail center at Commons Drive adjacent to Kroger.
The Burleson economic-development department projects $18 million in annual sales for the full development (set to open Summer 2025) of the 46,000-square-foot retail center, of which Sprouts will occupy 23,256 square feet (as proposed by Burleson Wilshire Investment Partners LLC).
City council approved 1611 Golf Club’s variance request to allow it to sell alcohol within 300 feet of the Academy at Nola Dunn. Burleson ISD didn’t object to the variance.
City council approved an order creating a signature-verification committee for the May 4 election.
City council approved amending Burleson’s general government capital improvement plan to account for the Burleson Police Department Headquarters-expansion’s adjusted funding.
City council approved the successful results of Burleson’s audit.
